A huge congratulations to Caitlin Chescoe who’s portrait of M. W. Bro. Christine Chapman, Grand Master of Freemasonry for Women, has been selected as a winner of Portrait of Britain Awards 2021 by the British Journal of Photography.
100 winning images, each capturing the changing face of our nation in their own unique way, have been selected by a panel of industry-leading judges including Tracy Marshall, director of Bristol Photo Festival; Mariama Attah, curator at Open Eye Gallery and Nicola Shipley, director of GRAIN Projects.
Caitlin said, “Christine Chapman is the Grand Master of the Honourable Fraternity of Ancient Freemasons, now known as ‘Freemasonry for Women’ – a fraternity for women, organised by women. She told me, ‘We think that Freemasonry empowers women, we think it gives you self-confidence and makes you believe in yourself.”
